Mosaic of lichens on mixed stone wall

Lichens can form mosaics of many species. They even occur in this form on the stems of cactuses! This particular example was on a drystone wall surrounding a churchyard near Stirling in Scotland. These mosaics can be very dynamic, with competition from the various species involved and if you know what you are looking at you can often spot the signs of the battle under way.

For now this card comes cellophane wrapped, but this will alter as stocks change. It is blank to allow you to say whatever you would like to say. The accompanying envelope is white
