This cliff festooned in lichens is on the north west Jersey coast next to Grosnez Castle. The walls and the sides of the ditch at Grosnez Castle support an interesting lichen flora. The actual castle is not particularly rich, probably due to some restoration practices.
Away from the Castle itself, much of the headland consists of a coarse grained granite of the St Mary’s type that supports a relatively low number of lichen species.
