Ships at Sea - this image was originally an etching.
I asked my mother, Diana Harding, for some information about why she created this image, since the majority of her work has been wildlife.
Apparently she was inspired by 'I saw three ships come sailing past'. In the distance there ARE some sailing ships, in spite of the one near-to being at anchor and with no sails. The light effect on the water is absolutely right for being at sea in calm weather.
Artists interpret poetry in their own sweet way and she herself was quite confused by what might have been in her mind when she did it! It does not stop it being a fascinating image...
For now this card comes cellophane wrapped, but this will alter as stocks change. They are blank to allow you to say whatever you would like to say. The accompanying envelope is white
